Finally, a cool, functional knitters' gadget! We discovered it at the Knitting & Stitching Show at Alexandra Palace in London this year where we met Julie Weisenberg, the owner of Cocoknits. We are working on a collaboration with Julie as so many of her patterns work beautifully well with our Layercake style and our fine Soliloquy yarns, but in the meantime we've kept a bit of Julie with us in the shape of her fabulous collection of Knitters Tools!
The Knitter's Keep is a wristband with a magnetic brushed metal plate, that holds any magnetic metal tools at your fingertips. No more fumbling in bags and the edges of chairs and sofa's (that was me until now, when I'd swipe stitch markers from the armrest of the sofa straight down the crack next to the seat-cushion!). The Keep comes fully loaded, with stitch markers (10 small, 10 large, 10 opening), 2 bent-tip tapestry/darning needles, 2 cusrved cable needles and a drawstring cotton bag, all packed meatly in one of the round natural coloured box that is the signature packaging of Cocoknits tools. There is a choice of 4 colours for the silicone band. The band is what's called a slap-band, it has a strip of flexible metal in it that can be stretched straight and fits any size wrist. It does not pinch nor moves ones you are wearing it, so the metal plate stays firmly in place on top of your wrist.
Of course it also works wonders as a pin-cushion and makes a fabulous Christmas present.
