by: Tall Yarns
This Poncho kit is available in 2 different yarn weights: Trinity Twist (a sport weight) or Double Dutch (a very limited edition DK yarn). The grey Poncho is knit using Trinity Twist, the blue on is made using Double Dutch DK. Gauge is very similar, but the DK is a heavier yarn, resulting in a more substantial garment. The picture showing both versions together is to illustrate their difference in terms of presence and weight. To futher illustrate this, the Trinity Twist Kit contains 600 gr of yarn while the Double Dutch Kit contains 800 gr. Which also explains the difference in price. Yardage used is very similar for both ponchos.
The details of each yarn are:
Trinity Twist: 260 m per 100 gr, 60% Bluefaced Leicester, 20% Silk, 20% Nylon
Double Dutch DK: 210 m per 100 gr, 100% Superfine Superwash Merino
The poncho is knit using 3.75mm needles
The kit contains all the yarn you need and a pattern.
